Anis Uzzaman, PhD, General Partner at Fenox Venture Capital, was an invited speaker at the MIT Asia Business Conference 2013 held on March 2, 2013.
 
Anis joined an accomplished panel of executives bearing extensive Asian experience, including Peter Li, CEO at Nexcelcom Bioscience, and Wesley Hom, former Vice President at IBM, and moderated by Peter Kurzina, an MIT entrepreneurship professor. The panel discussed key ingredients to successful innovation and entrepreneurship in Asia. Change in infrastructure support, an evolving education system, and a paradigm shift to embrace global perspective were identified to be the main catalysts of successful innovation in Asia.
 
In addition to the discussion about entrepreneurship and innovation, the conference presented topics such as finance and capital market, technology, media and macro business environment. Dr. Kiyoyuki Tsujimura, CEO at Docomo Engineering, John Krafcik, CEO at Hyundai Motors USA, and Chris Khang, CEO at GE Korea were the keynote speakers of the event. Their presentations underlined the roles of the above-mentioned engines of economy in both defining Asian economic growth and shaping global business landscape in the coming years.
